Texas:

In addition to completing the required 8-hour Medicare-related product certification course, in each reporting period following the reporting period in which a licensee completed a certification course, a licensee who performs any action with regard to a Medicare-related product must also complete at least four hours of department certified continuing education during each reporting period as part of the licensee’s continuing education requirements.

South Carolina:

South Carolina law requires producers to renew their license and pay a $25 license renewal fee every two years. The first deadline is May 1, 2010, which coincides with the deadline for compliance with the state’s continuing insurance education (CE) requirements. All producers licensed in South Carolina as of June 2, 2009 are required to renew their producer license and pay a $25 license renewal fee by May 1, 2010. May 1, 2010 is the final date certain compliance deadline. Future compliance deadlines will be individualized based on each licensee’s birth month and birth year.

Nevada:

As a result of a recent court decision, the Nevada Division of Insurance will immediately begin reviewing and processing applications from non-residents for independent and public adjuster licenses, including those for non-resident adjuster firms and non-resident associate adjusters. The Division will accept applications using the NAIC Uniform Applications, which are available on the Division’s Web site at http://doi.nv.gov.
