North Carolina:

Currently, NIPR is accepting resident and non-resident renewal applications for Broker, Self-Employed Adjuster, Public Adjuster, Motor Vehicle Damage Appraiser, Corporation, and Partnership licenses. In order to renew these North Carolina license types, licensees are required to complete a renewal application and pay the applicable license renewal fee through NIPR. Agent Services Division mailed to the licensees a notification explaining how to complete the license renewal through NIPR. This information is also posted on the Department’s website www.ncdoi.com under Agent Service Division Hot Topics. Failure of a licensee to complete the renewal application and pay the renewal fee through NIPR by 5/15/2010 will result in the license expiring effective 3/31/2010.

Louisiana:

The Louisiana Department now requires electronic appointment renewal processing with the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR). The NIPR website will have the renewal invoice and a list of appointments due for renewal on February 1, 2010. The invoices will not be displayed on the NIPR website after close of business April 30, 2010. The appointment renewal invoices can be found at https://pdb.nipr.com/html/renWelcome.htm.

South Carolina:

The deadline for licensed producers to comply with the state’s licensing requirements for the 2008-2010 biennial compliance period is May 1, 2010. Producer licenses will lapse effective May 3, 2010 if the producer fails to comply with license renewal and/or continuing education requirements. Failure to com-ply by the May 1st deadline will also result in the lapse of the producer’s appointment(s) and any other license tied to the producer license.
