The Colorado Department of Insurance and Pearson VUE have announced changes to their insurance pre-licensing education curriculum outline. The announced revisions will be reflected on licensing examinations offered on and after January 16, 2009. Individuals preparing for an insurance licensing exam that will be administered on or after the announced implementation date are urged to ensure that their study materials reflect the most recent curriculum revisions. The new Licensing Information Bulletins will be available from Pearson VUE online at www.pearsonvue.com.
California:
Because of many changes to the California Insurance Code, changes to federal laws and current industry trends, the educational objectives for several license types were recently revised. The license types affected consist of the Life-Only Agent, Accident and Health Agent, Fire and Casualty Broker-Agent, Personal Lines Broker-Agent, Limited Lines Automobile Insurance Agent, and the Commercial, Health and Disability (upgrade). The revised educational objectives are available on the California Department of Insurance’s (CDI) Web site at www.insurance.ca.gov. The revised educational objectives will take effect on January 1, 2009. The license examinations will also be updated to reflect these changes.
Iowa:
Pearson VUE, in cooperation with the Iowa Insurance Department, has announced several changes to their insurance pre-licensing education curriculum outline. The announced revisions will be reflected on licensing examinations offered on and after January 1, 2009. Individuals preparing for an insurance licensing exam that will be administered on or after the announced implementation date are urged to ensure that their study materials reflect the most recent curriculum revisions. The new Licensing Information Bulletins will be available from Pearson VUE online at www.pearsonvue.com.
Wyoming:
Effective December 1, 2008 Pearson VUE will begin administering the Wyoming insurance licensing examinations. A copy of the new Wyoming Insurance content outline is available from Pearson VUE online at www.pearsonvue.com. Individuals preparing for an insurance licensing exam that will be administered on or after the announced implementation date are urged to ensure that their study materials reflect the most recent curriculum revisions.
