South Carolina:

Prometric, the insurance licensing examination vendor selected by the South Carolina Department of Insurance, has announced extensive changes to their insurance pre-licensing education curriculum outline. The announced revisions will be reflected on licensing examinations offered on and after August 1, 2009. Individuals preparing for an insurance licensing exam that will be administered on or after the announced implementation date are urged to ensure that their study materials reflect the most recent curriculum revisions. The new Licensing Information Bulletins will be available from Prometric online approximately six weeks before the test update.

North Carolina:

This is a reminder that the Insurance Department will no longer generate a list of cancelled licenses due to non-compliance with CE now that the Department has changed to biennial/birth month compliance. There are several facilities available to confirm active, inactive and expired status of an appointed agent/adjuster: National Producer Database, licensing service vendors if you contract with one, and NCDOI Agent Information Portal at http://www.ncdoi.com/asd/asd_home.asp.
