Alaska:

The director will not allow continuing education credit for committee service in a professional organization or for the division of insurance; a course, seminar, or program of instruction taken more than once unless the director determines that substantial new developments have occurred in the subject area and information on the new developments is included in the educational program since the licensee first attended the program; and, a course, seminar, or program of instruction completed before the effective date of the person’s current license.

North Carolina:

Pearson VUE, in cooperation with the North Carolina Insurance Department, has announced extensive changes to their insurance pre-licensing education curriculum outline. The announced revisions will be reflected on licensing examinations offered on and after February 22, 2009. Individuals preparing for an insurance licensing exam that will be administered on or after the announced implementation date are urged to ensure that their study materials reflect the most recent curriculum revisions. The new Licensing Information Bulletins will be available from Pearson VUE online at www.pearsonvue.com.
