South Dakota:

The South Dakota Insurance Department, in conjunction with Prometric, has announced extensive changes to their insurance pre-licensing education curriculum outline. The announced revisions will be reflected on licensing examinations offered on and after January 1, 2009. Individuals preparing for an insurance licensing exam that will be administered on or after the announced implementation date are urged to ensure that their study materials reflect the most recent curriculum revisions. The new Licensing Information Bulletins will be available from Prometric online approximately six weeks before the test update.

New Hampshire:

Resident Producer Individual license renewal applications…applicants for renewal must be CE compliant 60 days prior to license expiration, or become CE compliant during the 60 days preceding their license expiration date. Late CE completion during that 60 day period will incur a late CE penalty of $50.

Massachusetts:

OPRA’s Online Producer Appointment Renewal website (https://www.opra.doi.state.ma.us) is now open and accessible to all insurers with appointments. Insurers should have received their user id’s and passwords via email and through the US Mail. Insurers will be able to use their user id’s and passwords to access the website in order to renew or non-renew their appointments. Appointment Renewals are to be completed by 12/01/2008.
