Iowa:

When a provider cancels a scheduled CE course Chapter 11.10(7) requires that the provider notify the Division or it’s outside vendor (Pearson VUE), and the registrants, at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled course date.  In Iowa the provider must notify the Division by posting the cancellation on the Pearson VUE website. Failure to do so may result in the provider being charged costs if an Insurance Division associate goes to a scheduled course for the purpose of auditing that course and finds that it was cancelled without the required 48 hour notice.  It doesn’t matter if the course is only open to the agents of the provider, it still must be cancelled online with the 48 hours notice. If there are any questions regarding the process to cancel a course, please contact Pearson VUE’s Customer Service line at 877-538-3420.
