Connecticut:

Pearson VUE, in cooperation with the Connecticut Insurance Department, has announced extensive changes to their insurance pre-licensing education curriculum outline. The announced revisions will be reflected on licensing examinations offered on and after June 1, 2008. Individuals preparing for an insurance licensing exam that will be administered on or after the announced implementation date are urged to ensure that their study materials reflect the most recent curriculum revisions. The new Licensing Information Bulletins will be available from Pearson VUE online at www.pearsonvue.com.

North Carolina:

The NC Department of Insurance sent companies a list of resident agents and adjusters who did not comply with 2007 CE requirements on April 30, 2008. Since mailing the lists, the Department has reinstated a number of licenses because proof has been provided that the licensee did indeed meet 2007 CE. Before agents and adjusters are notified by a company that they can no longer represent the carrier, please check the Department’s website to confirm current license status. The status on the website is real time and the web link is http://www.ncdoi.com/asd/asd_home.asp. Click on the Agent Information Portal. The licensee record may be printed for confirmation of current license status. NC will be issuing new licenses to any licensee whose license is reinstated.

New Jersey:

The New Jersey Department of Insurance, in conjunction with Pearson VUE (formerly Promissor), has announced extensive changes to their insurance pre-licensing education curriculum outline. The announced revisions will be reflected on licensing examinations offered on and after August 1, 2008. It should be noted that four new examinations have been introduced: Life Producer, Accident and Health Producer, Property Producer, and Casualty Producer. Individuals preparing for an insurance licensing exam that will be administered on or after the announced implementation date are urged to ensure that their study materials reflect the most recent curriculum revisions. The new Licensing Information Bulletins will be available from Pearson VUE online at www.pearsonvue.com.
